I graduated with a Diploma in herbal medicine, in January 2019 from the College of Naturopathic Medicine, London. This included 500 hours of clinical experience. In 2007 I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ayurvedic Studies, form Thames Valley University, with 700 hours of clinical experience.
Having gained a very comprehensive education in these alternative fields. I now aim to practice herbal medicine and ayurveda at a therapy centre, on a freelance basis. I will see clients for initial consultations and follow ups, whilst dispensing herbal medicines and giving naturopathic diet and lifestyle instructions.
The course hastaught me valuable knowledge for practising alternative medicine. Thestudent clinics wheregood experience thatgave the practicalskills toopractice confidently.
My Ayurvedic degree gave me skills of diagnosis techniques, diet protocols and lifestyle regimes. I learnt basic Sanskrit, needed for the Ayurvedic terminology. As part of my degree I undertook a 5 month internship in a hospital, near Mangalore and private clinic in Pune, India. I worked with patients with a wide range of illnesses and gained first hand experience of panchakarma therapy, massage and the dispensing of herbal medicine.
